Kalu Yala is your basecamp, but the rest of Panama is waiting for you to explore. Though a relatively small territory, Panama has an incredible variety of destinations and environments. You won’t come close to being able to see them all.

  • What is the pricing at the camp?

    $50 per person per night for a Kalu Yala provided walk-in style, nylon tent with an inflatable mattress, including 3 meals per day. $150 per night (up to 2 people) in a luxury tent with either one king or two twin beds. $80 round trip transportation from Kalu Yala to the city or airport. Activity and tour options vary in physical requirement and length, and they range in price from $20-$50.
  • How do I get to and from the camp at Kalu Yala?

    You have two options: Drive to San Miguel and either hike in or have round trip transport to and from Kalu Yala to San Miguel provided for $20 (up to 4 people). Or for $80 (up to 4 people) we will arrange round trip transportation to and from Kalu Yala and the city or airport.
  • What are the accommodations?

    Basic accommodations are private, walk-in, nylon tents and cost $50 per person per night. Air mattresses are standard. You will essentially only sleep and store your things here. Luxury accommodations are in Kalu Yala's unique 9' x 18' eco-tents on hardwood platforms, with either one king or two twins and bamboo luxury sheets. Domes cost $150 per night for up to two people. Bathrooms are located in separate facilities.
  • What about bathrooms?

    Kalu Yala is off-the-grid, but we provide campsite style flush toilets and showers. Alternatively, we also have composting toilets available and beautiful rivers to rinse off in after a long day.
  • What is the food like?

    Fonda la Finca is Kalu Yala’s house restaurant, serving family style meals to all guests on the property for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 80% of the food comes from our farm or the local area.
